Are you ready for GDPR?

On May 25th, 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)  comes into law in all EU Member States. The new legislation is applicable to any company, government agencies, non-profits, and other organizations. It provides products or services to people in the European Union (EU), or that gathers and analyzes data of EU residents and is applicable regardless of the company location.

The new legislation contains new requirements about how companies collect, store, and use personal information.

Any organization dealing with EU individuals, known as a data controller, must process personal data in compliance with the GDPR and must ensure that any third-party data processors have implemented the technical and organizational requirements of the GDPR. Companies will be subject to significant fines that do not comply with the new regulation.

GDPR applies to ConstructionCRM in a number of ways, including:

ConstructionCRM as a CRM provider – The need to underpin our clients GDPR requirements through configuration and reporting within ConstructionCRM
ConstructionCRM provides software that will also allow them to be compliant with the GDPR.

ConstructionCRM as a Data Processor
Where ConstructionCRM handles any data on behalf of its customers (e.g. for our hosted solutions ), the security protocols will be provided to our customers, and new rules of data compliance required by our customers will be distributed.
